Five supercars now slower in the 0-62mph dash than the new BMW M5

2y ago

This week the all-new BMW M5 was finally revealed to the world. It is the fastest M5 ever produced, featuring a 592bhp V8 engine and a variable super advanced all-wheel drive system.

All of this power and fury propels the M5 from 0-62mph in a staggeringly quick 3.4 seconds. This means that now in 2017 the M5 is quicker than a number of actual supercars.

This got me thinking about what supercars are now officially slower to 62mph than the all-new M5?

Audi R8 V10 – 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds

The R8 features a screaming V10 motor producing 540bhp for a reasonable £120k

Lamborghini Reventon – 0-62mph in 3.5 seconds (claimed)

This limited run Lambo cost £800k when new, and it has a V12

Bentley Continental GT3-R – 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds

A road going GT track day special with 570bhp costing a cool £240,000

Pagani Zonda F – 0-62mph in 3.6 seconds (claimed)

The Zonda F cost a cool 1,000,000 Euros and produced 641bhp from its V12 motor which was good a claimed 214mph

Ferrari F50 – 0-62mph in 3.8 seconds

Featuring F1 inspired tech and a 513bhp V12 motor the F50 cost £475,000 back in 1995
