Flame throwing four-rotor Mazda RX-7 on the dyno

This is the third generation Mazda RX-7 of David Mazzei.

This is the third generation Mazda RX-7 of David Mazzei, and it is a flame throwing, screaming beast.

Beside the good sized rear wing and the overall impressive appearance, the main action takes place under the bonnet (if it is mounted). The engine consists of four rotors, which is twice the number of rotors of a standard Wankel configuration. Additional, there is a massive turbo attached.

During the video, the RX-7 has been on the dyno before and after tuning. As Rob Dahm, the passionate owner of an exceptional RX-7 and the publisher of the video, says in the description: Listen to the difference from start to finish.

If you want to learn, how the four-rotor engine works and what the difference is to a two-rotor, have a look at Jason Fenske's video HERE.
