  • Cross plane most often. Usually sounds better, higher amounts of torque, also low end torque. They can rev high enough to satisfy me

    • I agree, although unfortunately, my lego engine only can do a flat plane crankshaft, i even tried to make it a cross plane, but i failed

  • Depends. Flat planes definitely sound better and are more fun but as a 47 year old with physical damage that's not what I want. I want smooth and quiet. That's where the cross plane shines. Flat for fun, Cross for smooth.
