Focus previewed FCA-PSA merger
The 2015 movie starring Will Smith and Margot Robbie after FCA and PSA merger made me think that maybe directors watched the movie and went "why not?"
Will Smith, Dodge Challenger, Budwiser, New Orleans and Superbowl, can you get more American than that?
First car that got some screen time was the Dodge Challenger, the sports car that uses Mercedes underpinnings that is still being made today.
There are some other makes around here too, but thinking about product placement, I guess the products from the other makes suit more to the part.
Second vehicle to get some screen time was the freshly restyled awesome looking Peugeot RCZ. Red colour is a real match for Buenos Aires.
"With friends like you, I don't need luck"
Ok, this one is very quickly. But still it is an Alfa Romeo 164 and a Ferrari F430. Although Argentina received the Euro-Spec 164, this one is a rare case of a US-Spec imported 164S. Just like Brazil, this may have been imported only in small numbers to the country, making this scene a bit special.
The Dodge Durango and it's amazing rear lights crash onto Will's Peugeot head-on. Maybe it's a crashy merger? Who knows?
At the climax of the movie we see some racing cars and along with some Ferraris and a R33 Skyline (a very rare car around South America)
In the end, we see yet again two product placements from PSA (and FCA) the Citroën C3 Aircross developed exclusively for the South American Domestic Market and a Fiat Ducato...Or a Citroën Jumper...Or a Peugeot Boxer.
