Footballer's brother-in-law, 'Bins it Hammond Style'

In Potters Bar...

Sibling rivalry! We've all had a bit of a tit for tat with our siblings haven't we? I see it my kids now.

'She's got more than me!'

'Why does HE get the iPad?'

'He/she HIT ME!'

We've all seen it. The worst examples of course are when the older sibling gets a nice, shiny new toy for their birthday and the younger one IMMEDIATELY wants it. They proceed to snatch it off the elder, play with it too vigorously and break it. There you have it, birthday tears - RIGHT THERE! The next thing you know, you're shouting at the younger one, and they're in tears too.

By this point things have gone too far and your only option is to take them out to McDonald's for a Happy Meal.

I'm guessing this story is actually a rather more 'high-octane' version of that familiar occurrence.

According to reports, Aston Villa player Lewis Grabban had arranged for his brother-in-law (Which makes it even worse!) to receive his shiny new Ferrari at his home. Now, sibling rivalry is bad, but in-law rivalry and feuds? Well... We all know where that goes.

Getting your brother-in-law to sign for your Ferrari is the metaphysical equivalent of rubbing your naked genitals in his face, while pinching his ears and singing, 'I'm better than you-oo, I'm better than you-oo!' over and over again. It's not going to end well.

Brother-in-law Michael O'Donnell signed for the Ferrari, then posed for pictures. Next, he and his mate Gokan jumped in, fired it up and went for a blast. On Vineyards Road, O'Donnell gave the throttle a little tweak and sent the car spinning off into the woods. They hit a tree, caused £93,000 worth of damage and now, both look like prize pillocks.

The car is back in Italy, being repaired and O'Donnell and his mate Gokan Kiziloz got a 12 month driving ban each and many, many hours of unpaid work.

The moral of the story?

If you're asked to sign for your brother-in-law's Ferrari, JUST BLOODY SIGN FOR IT!

If you were asked to sign for your girlfriend's new lady shaver, you wouldn't immediately 'try it out' for her!

As it is, Michael O'Donnell 'Binned it Like Hammond' and managed to look like a complete tool in the process. If I had to guess which one, I'd say a SPANNER!
