For Sale: Yamaha R15 V3
A friend of mine is looking to empty up some space in his garage and have decided to sell his Japanese entry-level superbike the Yamaha R15 V3 BS4 2019 MODEL. I'll come back to the importance of the term 'BS4' later. But let's get some basics of this particular bike first
It's registered in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.
First owner and has been run only under 8500 kilometres in the last two years of the ownership.
Has some exterior modification done to it but nothing extraordinary, it has an after market LED turn indicator and a flip number plate just like in the bond films.
Now let me tell you why you might be interested in this bike if you're looking to get into superbikes and have little to no experience with the bikes then there's no better entry level sports bike like Yamaha R15 V3 it gets a 155cc engine that produces about 18 hp and 15 nm of torque but this is the new bs6 model sold currently in the showrooms. The bs4 models sold in 2019 had more power and more torque and weighed less than 20hp and 16 nm of torque and weighs about 5 kgs less than the outgoing bs6 model which weighs about 139kgs and the bs4 weighs about 134kgs. And something these current bs6 motors struggles with is the initial response of the bike but bs4 engines don't struggle with a lazy low end, which gives it better driveability and better acceleration times. Matter of fact bs4 model is full 1 sec quicker to 100 than the bs6 model. 14 sec for the bs6 model and 12.8 for the bs4 model. And buying a new one will cost about 1,83,000 rupees on road but my friend is willing to let it go for 1,35,000 rupees. Bargain, right?
I think it is, as the bs4 model is lighter, quicker and cheaper than the current bs6 models and it looks the same, so, no one will notice until you smoke those bs6 peasants in a drag race.
Other important features this bike has or Yamaha r15 v3 in general are
VVA (variable valve actuation) in small terms it's a vtec equivalent for the bikes, so it's safe to assume that this bike is quite frugal on fuel when you don't push on it.
Gets a slipper clutch to help you shift quicker and control transmission and wheel lock under heavy downshifts., giving more control and confidence while riding hard into the corners.
And another thing you might wanna get the r15 v3 is, its ability to corner with utmost stability and confidence.
