The 2018 Seat Leon Cupra R isn't just the most powerful car the Spanish manufacturer has ever produced, it’s also the most exclusive. Limited to just 799 units, the SEAT Leon Cupra R is powered by Volkswagen’s EA888 2.0 TSI four-cylinder motor. It produces 228kw with a manual gearbox or 221kw with a DSG automatic transmission, with both variants being front-wheel drive. Differentiating it from other Cupra's are modifications to the camber on the front axle, along with adaptive suspension, a new exhaust system and Brembo brakes. Some highlights of the bodywork includes the exclusive carbon-fibre details on the front and rear spoilers, rear diffuser and side skirts. This is complemented by the copper coloured side mirrors, exclusive rims, and air intakes. Considering that the Seat Leon Cupra was the first hot-hatch to break the 8 minute mark at the Nürburgring in 2014, it will be interesting if this does attempt a record. Sadly, the Leon Cupra R is not available for a South African release. #TunedAutomotive #SomeShitAboutCars
