Ford Bronco's best trim is officially getting a manual transmission
I can already hear the cheers!
Ford has announced that the Sasquatch package, the best available trim on the Bronco two-door and four-door, will be available with the Bronco's 7-speed manual transmission.
Ford's decision to put the manual transmission in the Sasquatch-equipped Broncos comes after feedback from the reservation holders who expressed their want for a manual option.
“The Bronco community spoke and we heard them,” said Mark Grueber, Ford Bronco consumer marketing manager. “ Ford then acted quickly to make the manual transmission an option of the Sasquatch-equipped Broncos.
Having the manual on the Sasquatch Broncos is a big deal, as it makes an already very capable Bronco even more capable. In fact, the added manual on the Sasquatch Broncos makes the it the only 4x4 with a 7-speed and 35-inch off-road tires in its class.
This also displays Ford's commitment to having the Bronco be offroad capable, no matter what trim you get. Whether you get the lowest-specced Bronco or the highest-specced Bronco, you can get a manual equipped to it. Every trim is also available with the Sasquatch package, which adds 35-inch Goodyear mud-terrain tires mounted, Dana front and rear electronic locking axles, and high-clearance suspension with a nearly two-inch wider track, Bilstein shocks and wider fender flares.
You can expect the manual transmission Bronco with Sasquatch package to be available in late 2021. Coming in October, the Bronco price and configurator will be available to help pass the time.
