The Ford Edge is a mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by the Ford Motor Company. Ford also markets the second-generation Edge in European markets. The Edge uses Ford's CD4 platform. The vehicle is assembled at Ford's Oakville Assembly, Ontario, Canada assembly plant. In January 2018, Ford announced that the entire Edge lineup (alongside the Lincoln MKX's renaming) will receive a mid-cycle facelift for 2019, which replaces the existing Ford three-bar front grille with a front grille design similar to the larger Ford Explorer that debuted in 2016, new aluminum-alloy wheel options for each trim level, new exterior and interior color combinations, and a 12-speaker B&O Play surround-sound system that replaces the existing Sony system.
