ford extends gt supercar production
cars will be built well into 2018
If you’ve a few hundred thousand lying around you might be pleased to read Ford have decided to extend the production lifespan for its latest GT supercar. Since opening the order books when the car was unveiled at the Detroit motor show last year, 6,500 would be buyers have placed orders around the world. Deliveries for those in the UK are likely to start during the Summer next year with the those left on the waiting list having their orders built during 2018.
The GT will feature a body shell mainly constructed of carbon fibre and a 3.5 litre V6 twin turbo ecoboost engine producing around 600 bhp - The artist’s impressions on Ford’s website are stunning, but it remains to be seen if the car actually delivers.
