Ford has sold all of the Mustang Mach-E First Edition
Good commercial start!
Ford has sold all the pre-orders for the launch edition of its Mustang Mach-E. It took less than a month and a half to sell all of the Mustang Mach-E First Edition, as the vehicle was introduced on November 17. To reserve the Mustang Mach-E, American customers had to pay a $500 fully refundable deposit.
It is still possible to reserve a Mustang Mach-E in the other two Premium and GT trim levels. The first one starts at about $50,000 and is just above the base version. The second version starts at about $60,500 and stands as a sporty premium version.
However, Ford didn't release the total number of pre-orders for the Mustang Mach-E and simply provided customer-preferred configurations. More than a quarter of the pre-orders come from California, which isn't surprising since that state supports the development of electric cars in the United States the most.
More than 80% of the customers have opted for the "Extended Range" version with the large 98.8 kWh battery for a range of 250 miles. 55% of the pre-orders are all-wheel drive vehicles and 30% of the pre-orders are for the top-of-the-range GT version. As far as colour is concerned, grey leads sales ahead of blue and red.
