Ford & McDonald's team up to redefine cars & coffee
Ford partners with McDonald's to use coffee waste products to build car parts
Your next Ford Mustang may be made out of used McDonald's coffee? That's right! Ford is using McDonald's coffee waste to make car parts. Coffee chaff, which is the outer skin of the coffee bean, is being combined with plastic and molded into parts like headlight housing. McDonald's has a goal of having all of their coffee sustainably sourced by 2020. That gives them just a few months, and Ford is helping them out. Will this also redefine the "new car" smell?
