Ford offers Mustang Shelby GT500 owners a driver's training program

Necessary to master the 760 hp!

1y ago

If you decide to buy a Ford Mustang Shelby GT500, you probably like speed and thrills. With its 5.2L V8 producing 760 hp, the muscle car is ready to satisfy all your demands in this field. This unprecedented power for a Mustang made by Ford would even require a short adaptation time...

The brand has a solution to reassure all customers worried about crashing their car into a tree. They will be eligible for a driving internship at Ford's Performance Racing School in Charlotte Motor Speedway, Concord, North Carolina. At the end of the training, you will certainly have a better command of the 760 hp!

The course includes driving on the open road as well as training on a dragstrip to better tame the beast's acceleration. Customers will also receive training on cornering, braking and the use of the car's various driving modes. To ensure maximum comfort, Ford will provide the GT500s, so that owners do not have to bring their own vehicles.

According to Dave Pericak, Ford director of enterprise product line management, the new Mustang Shelby GT500 raises the Mustang to a new level of performance close to that of supercars. He believes this training is necessary to help owners get the most out of their cars. A second day of driving is also offered behind the wheel of a less powerful Mustang GT.
