Ford shows the Bronco's off-road capabilities in a new teaser
The eagerly awaited Ford Bronco will be revealed in spring 2020. To make people wait, the American brand has released a new video teaser in which the vehicle is being subjected to difficult conditions. The Bronco, still obviously camouflaged, is on the manufacturer's private test track in Johnson Valley, USA.
The new Bronco will present itself as a more rustic and adventurous alternative to modern SUVs. It will remain comfortable even though its preferred territory will be off-road and rough terrain. For example, it will be equipped with a hill descent assist, which allows it to maintain the same speed on a steep slope.
With its very angular design, the new Bronco will be offered exclusively with a three-door body. Its styling will be greatly inspired by the first Bronco, naturally adding obvious modern touches such as new LED headlights. It will keep the spare wheel attached to the tailgate and will even adopt removable doors and roof.
On the mechanical side, rumors now mention two gasoline engines. A 2.7-litre V6 producing about 330 hp and a 2.3-litre four-cylinder EcoBoost producing about 270 hp. These engines will be mated to a 10-speed automatic transmission. A six-speed manual transmission may be offered as an option on the 2.3L. All we have to do is wait a few months before the new Ford Bronco is revealed.
