Forza Horizon 4 Fortune Island Tuning Challenge: Mosler MT900S VS The Kraken
Santa Claus has been and gone (unless you don't celebrate him), but not before leaving the Forza Horizon 4 community the mother of all presents. That being the possibly, maybe, potentially overpowered Mosler MT900S.
History lesson: Mosler gets its name from Warren Mosler, the hedge fund manager who started the Florida-based manufacturer. Mosler was born in 1993, but Warren actually made his first car in the form of the mid-engined Consulier GTP back in 1985.
Before Mosler's demise in 2013, it made the MT900R track monster and the road-friendlier MT900S, both of which combined a carbon fibre McLaren F1-esque body with a large V8. Thanks to a weight of just 1,175kg, 0-62mph took just 3.5 seconds in the original MT900.
In its MT900S version, power from an LS6 V8 borrowed from the Corvette Z06 totalled 435hp, but this was upped to a more ridiculous 600hp in later years. Enough for a 12-second quarter mile.
Despite relatively low sales and fading into obscurity, the Mosler MT900S is back making waves. With a decent X class tune, it can lap the gigantic Forza Horizon 4 Goliath race faster than any other car, thanks to unrivalled handling. Faster than the legendary Porsche 911 GT3 RS PO.
But what about at S2 level? Can it knock the Mercedes-Benz CLK GTR off top spot at the Fortune Island S2 Rivals 'The Kraken' Rivals event? I decided to test out every engine and create a tune for each to find out.
My time to beat is 4:39. The plan was to get as close to that as possible, which, as it turns out, was no easy feat. Especially with my sausage fingers and mash potato hands.
