Forza Horizon 4 is set in the UK: see it in action
Tea, crumpets, drifting…
Microsoft has just unveiled Forza Horizon 4 – the latest entry in the fence-smashing, beach-drifting, car-modding arcade open-world racer. And it's set in the UK. And it has hovercrafts.
The biggest difference to previous Horizon outings is the inclusion of seasons. They're not just there to mix up the looks either – lakes actually freeze in winter, opening up new locations and giving you an easy place to get ultimate drifts, presumably. We also spotted real live (virtual) sheep running out of the way of cars ploughing across fields.
Forza Horizon 4 release date
There's also a 60fps option to smooth things out, although there's no word yet whether you'll need an Xbox One X to unlock this or not. Naturally, it's coming out on PC as well, and it'll be out on 2 October 2018. It'll also be included in the Xbox Game Pass.
We'll publish more details as and when we get them, but in the mean time watch the trailer and feast your eyes on the beautiful recreation of the UK countryside in our gallery.
