Four Cars That'd Make For A Great Harlequin Edition
You get a Harlequin! And you get a Harlequin! Everybody gets a Harlequin!
The Volkswagen Polo Harlequin debuted in 1995 as the most colourful VW ever. Now, Volkswagen is commemorating the metalball of colour by building a unique new one using the current version of the brand's little hatchback. Actually, it's already built but whatever. So, that gave me an idea: what other cars would look great in a Harlequin paintjob?
Well, here's my list, let's start!
Starting off simple- VW Arteon.
This Arteon you see is actually the Arteon Time Attack car which was tuned to 483 hp- that's fast but it's also very colourful hence proving it can make for a sick Harlequin. Oh, and let's not forget the looks because it's, copying John Coleman, beautiful damnit.
Still a VW- VW Atlas.
Yes, it's an SUV. And yes, it's slammed. But it looked too good to be left out. I quite like this Atlas Harlequin render. If somebody ever slams one on such big wheels and does a Harlequin wrap, it's going to get more attention at car shows than a Ferrari along with maybe a twin-turbo VR6 swap. Better yet, drift it!
Sorta a VW but not really a VW but still a VW, I think- Audi R8.
This R8 Harlequin looks gooooood. And frankly, that's all I have to say for it. Just imagine a blur of rainbow zooming past you with that sweet symphony of the V10 playing as the background music. Oh, heavenly, indeed.
I dunno if it's a VW or not but whatever- Pininfarina Battista.
Again, this colourful paintjob thingy you see isn't a Harlequin scheme but it sure looks good! With it's 1873 hp and 1696 lb-ft of torquey bois, it'd probably be the fastest palette ever. I mean, how many palettes do you know that can go 217 mph? I'm waiting.
