With Czechia's Tom Beckhäuser, Germany's Sophia Flörsch and Lirim Zendeli, along with Sweden's Oliver Söderström, Mücke Motorsport’s ADAC Formula 4 team is now complete.

The girl and the three boys will be sitting behind the steering wheel of four pink cars, which received their colour design from the team's new main sponsor BWT – Best Water Technology group, with Zendeli and Söderström heading into their second year with Mücke Motorsport.

Bochum-born Zendeli could be seen on the podium last year and now plans to get on the top step. "The 2017 season won't be easy, but the team and I are ready to fight for the championships in Germany and Italy", he revealed.

Thanks to the support of his father, his sponsors, as well as Peter Mücke and his team the 17-year-old is able to compete in both F4 Championships – the German and the Italian one – including all test days. "I really appreciate the support! In addition, I will be the first Formula 4 racer starting as BWT junior driver", Zendeli continued.

If you closely followed the latest news in motorsport, you’ll have seen that Force India also presented their 2017 challenger in the pink colours of BWT, with further details soon to be announced regarding this new junior programme.

Söderström unintentionally caused a lot of laughter, as well as one of the highlight movie moments of the 2016 season in Hockenheim, as after contact with Robin Brezina, both drivers ended up in the gravel. An apparently angry Brezina was running towards Söderström, who threw away his steering wheel in panic, with the latter signaling that it was just a simple accident that could have been solved by a peaceful conversation. (In case you missed it:

"I'm obviously thankful for the chance Mücke has given me once more and I have a good feeling about working together with them in 2017", said Söderström. The Swede joined the Berlin-based outfit at Sachsenring in 2016, securing two points in his first season in single-seaters.

Czechia's Tom Beckhäuser will be contesting his first full season in ADAC F4 ©MückeMotorsport

Newcomer Tom Beckhäuser is looking forward to his Rookie year in ADAC F4. "I've had a passion for motorsport my whole life. I was always convinced that I can be a good racer and approached my father one day, by telling him to let me race. Now I want to learn as much as possible at BWT Mücke Motorsport and start to win races as soon as possible. I am looking forward to race in the Pink Panther", Beckhäuser said.

The three boys will join Sophia Flörsch who was announced at the beginning of March. With more than 40 days to go, the main focus is still on testing in order to be perfectly prepared for the upcoming season.

    • I do know but I wasn't sure how to tranlate! I asked someone who is born and living in the UK what is the best to translate and that is what I got. What do you propose then?
