Four rows back on the grid in the blink of an eye

3y ago

The good news is that just half a second separating first and eighth places in qualifying should make the racing incredibly close in this afternoon's Petit Le Mans race at Road Atlanta. The bad news is that it's our Number 912 911 RSR that finds itself on the fourth row of the grid, just a blink away from the pole sitter. Its sister Number 911 car is in ninth place. But, as Patrick Pilet, one of that car's drivers said, "during the long runs our 911 RSR ran well and this makes me optimistic for the race. We have to try to work our way up the field as far as possible by the end of the first stint and look after our tyres. Then anything’s possible." The race is just about to start at 11:05 local, 17:05 CEST.
