Codemasters has announced that they will be launching the F1 2021 game for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on July 16.

What's new in F1 2021?

Codemasters has added three new tracks: Portimão, Imola, and Jeddah. Also, there will be a new story mode called 'Braking Point' in which you can start your career as a Formula 2 driver and go all the way to Formula 1 based on your performances. The game is set to have all the on and off track drama of F1.

“Braking Point is an exciting innovation that has been years in the making. We are proud to expand the game experience and allow players to live the highs and lows of life in Formula 1 both on and off the track,” said Lee Mather, Franchise Game Director at Codemasters.

Is there anything new for career mode?

This year's game will have two-player Career mode in which you can play with your friend and work as a team together. You can join your friend online and play for the same team or choose different teams.

Paul Jeal, F1 Senior Franchise Director said: "We are creating more choice and new ways to play. Real-Season Start allows players to align their career to the F1 season. The addition of two-player Career brings new challenges to the iconic game mode. Players can now choose to play co-operatively and share in the success or compete and strive for personal glory.”

Will there be a split-screen mode available?

Yes, two-player split-screen play is back! What's more, Codemasters claim that it has added shorter season options for both F1 and F2, esports integration and accessible menus and handling.

Can I pre-order the game?

F1 2021 is available to pre-order on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X and S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. By pre-ordering you will get the exclusive Braking Point Content Pack and 5000 PitCoins along with more in-game items.
