Genesis G70 Gets New Styling For 2022
It will look similar to the G80 and have a new, more powerful, engine option, as well as a shooting brake version.
1. The Genesis G70 will get the G80/G90's looks for the 2022 model year.
2. A new, more powerful 2.5 L turbocharged I-4 will be available.
3. It should cost about $37,000 in the U.S.
4. A shooting brake (Wagon) variant is on the way, likely not coming to the U.S.
Genesis has unveiled the new 2022 G70, with all-new styling designed to match its brother, the G80. With all this good news, however, there is bad news: No more manual transmission for 2022. Bummer. This new G70 will have a new base engine, that of the G80, which is a 290-horsepower 2.5 L turbocharged I-4. In addition, it is possible that a 3.5 L twin-turbo V6, also available in other Genesis models, will replace the current 3.3 L.
New technology will also arrive with the new styling and engines, a massive 10.3-inch will be standard and has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto connectivity. This comes with minor interior styling updates and a tweaked wireless phone charger.
South Korea will obtain the all-new G70 next month, and the U.S will get it later this year or early next year at just over $37,000.
