Genesis has finally arrived in Europe and UK

The big question is: will it be successful?

Hyundai Group's Genesis has arrived in Europe and UK. The Korean automaker has been very successful in American car market and now its looking to challenge the likes of BMW, Audi, Mercedes Benz and Jaguar.

Genesis has confirmed that it will launch G70 saloon and GV70 crossover as its first models in the European market. After that it will also unveil its secret car destined exclusively for Europe and UK. Later on Genesis will launch electric cars.

The posh Korean brand looks to offer unrivaled customer service with its 'studio’ dealerships where a human ‘personal assistant’ will look into whatever you need and help you in your buying process. You will also be able to buy a Genesis online while the option of a subscription service (offered by Volvo) also available.

"Over the past five years, our customers around the world have come to recognise our commitment to exceptional design, quality and an authentic brand experience," said global head of Genesis brand, Jaehoon Chang. "We believe now is the right time for the next chapter in our brand history, and are excited to bring our distinct luxury vehicles to Europe."

The big question is: will the Korean automaker be successful in Europe? If you ask me, then I think that Genesis is ready for a very night future but it will have to be patient because dethroning the likes of BMW, Audi and Merc isn't easy.

  • It'll be interesting to see if they thrive or end up in a Land of Confusion like Infiniti did.

  • I really like them so far and can't wait to see what they bring to the table over here.

  • I don’t know what’s going to happen with them. Lexus make great cars and sell none. I don’t think is brits would stop our beloved german cars for a New Start Up (sort of)! I’d consider a genesis though.

    • Lexus sell well and are far better vehicles, they are just not promoted through the media like the Euro & German cars.

    • Not in Europe they don’t. Well not until they came out with their fleet of SUVs.
