Geneva 2019 news: New Italdesign DaVinci concept unveiled
Italdesign have unveiled their DaVinci concept in preparation for the Geneva Motor Show. The Italian designers specialises in styling work for car firms, but has also produced its own sports cars before such as the Zerouno. Most interestingly though, it features unconvential gullwing doors - which will most likely raise a few eyebrows when the concept model itself is revealed to the public on Tuesday 5th March in Geneva.
Developed at Italdesign’s headquarters in Moncalieri, Italy - the DaVinci concept also features wide fenders, two big air intakes on the hood and a four-seat interior configuration with two in the front and two in the rear.
Italdesign say that the DaVinci concept is a GT supercar (powertrain details are yet to be revealed) that is nearly ready for production, and it could potentially be used by other automotive brands to model their new cars off of. The concept measures (quite a lengthy) 4,981 mm long and 2,124 mm wide, with a 2,900-mm wheelbase and a ground clearance of 119 mm. The concept will most likely feature carbonfibre bodywork and an aluminium & carbonfibre classis - as did the Zerouno and Duerta.
This concept might just steal the show at Geneva, mark my words.
