German tuner unveils its 701bhp version of the McLaren 620R
The British supercar has been beefed up by Germans - not the first time that they have done such thing.
In several of my articles, I have reviewed British cars that have been tuned by Germans - something that I consider the worst thing they have given us since the Blitz. Previously we had a Rolls-Royce Cullinan that looked like an American whose diet consists solely of Big Macs and Pepsi, and now we have a McLaren, although this time the Germans have actually done something decent.
The car they chose to tune this time is the limited-edition 620R, which produces 612bhp. The Germans however cranked than number up to 701bhp, which allows it to do 0-62mph in just 2.8 seconds and attain a top speed of 204mph.
The car's weight now stays below 1400kg, thanks to newly calibrated sports springs and forged, centre-locking wheels made by US manufacturer Vossen. Price is still unknown, but it's expected to be more than the £250,000 original car.
Honestly, I think this car is pretty good, but I would still prefer to buy the one from McLaren, although I'm pretty sure all of the 225 of the 620Rs have already been sold.

Your speaking reminds faintly of generalisation over a race. I know that's pushing it, but although controversy isn't bad, I think somewhat of a more neutral reporting style would be more appreciated.
So now it's a McLaren 701R?
That‘s uh... a pretty generaistic and passive aggressive writing towards german tuners there 😅
As much power as a base 720S on a car smaller than it. Going to be quite a rocket.
Thought so.
