Founded in 1958 by the four Walklett brothers, Ginetta has a long and successful history of producing hand built road and race cars. By the time it was acquired by Lawrence Tomlinson in 2005, it had gained a reputation as one of the most renowned British heritage race car brands.
Under the direction of experienced racing driver and successful businessman Tomlinson, Ginetta has exploded onto the global scene. Taking the lead in British race car manufacturing, Ginetta is putting the UK at the heart of world-class motorsport, selling cars across the world and training the brightest stars in motorsport.
Ginetta offers a genuine route for progression from entry level competition, right the way through to international motorsport platforms. The unrivalled motorsport ladder has taken drivers from their first race aged 14 into international racing stardom. Every car is produced in a state-of-the-art, 75,000 sq. ft. factory just outside of Leeds. With many components hand-crafted on site, Ginetta employs some of the UK’s brightest engineering and manufacturing talent to bring to life the Ginetta G40, Ginetta G55 and Ginetta G57.
The Ginetta Championships meanwhile, provide competitive racing for everyone, from the aspiring driver to the seasoned professional. THE Ginetta G40 JUNIOR
The G40 Junior is the ideal first step for 14-17 year olds switching from karting to cars. It has become one of the most well-known models at the British Touring Car Championship weekend. Ginetta Junior graduates have gone on to secure international racing success with many now competing in GT, Touring Cars and Prototype championships across the world.
