GM To Stop Production of Pickup Trucks

DETROIT, MICHIGAN- Recent news from Ford sparked a lot of discussion at a GM executive meeting yesterday. GM executives were shocked to find out that Ford was now producing a pickup truck that reached 30 mpg, subsequently saving the planet with it. Executives at GM realized that they cannot compete with Ford anymore on the level of pickups given that the mpg of the Chevy Silvarado and the GMC Sierra only get a max of 23 mpg on the highway. GM therefore decided to nix all pickup truck production due to the declining mpg that they have and the rise of Ford's. It looks as if GM finally realizes they are inferior to Ford.

Mary T. Barra, GM's CEO held a press conference to discuss the decision. "We have realized that our pickups are exceedingly inferior to Ford's. This has become more apparent to us now that Ford produces a pickup that gets more than 30 mpg, and we at GM can't seem to produce a pickup that even seems to work for more than 50,000 miles. We have therefore decided, that on behalf of the planet, we will halt all production of pickups and focus more on cars for hippies and green snobs." Barra did not say if they had a car yet that could compete with Tesla's demon cars.

Ford CEO James Hackett was unavailable for questioning due to having so much celebratory champagne and basking the fact that he had won the ultimate victory over GM and their arrogant and inferior pickups. His secretary did however tell us that before Hackett passed out he had been shouting "We're coming for you next, Dodge!" out of his office window.
