Goodwood Creates the "Stirling Moss Memorial Trophy"
October 16th - 18th, 2020 the Kinrara Trophy is renamed in honor of Sir Stirling Moss at 'the most beautiful motor race in the world'.
Arguably two events each year stand out as bookends to the racing season: the Monaco Grand Prix in the Spring, and the Goodwood Revival in the Fall. In 2020 a hybrid event, "Goodwood SpeedWeek" will replace the 'Members Meeting', 'The Revival' and the 'Festival of Speed' which have all been rescheduled to 2021.
SpeedWeek will not have spectators, but the Goodwood website says "the whole event will be streamed live through GRR and all our social media channels." The official statement goes on to say that they are exploring new ways to film and stream the event. Sign me up!

According to the press materials, each Goodwood event contributes something unique to SpeedWeek. From the Revial we are offered the 'RAC TT' big banger GT cars, 'St. Mary's Trophy' for two-driver touring cars, the 'Glover Trophy' 60's F1 cars (a fan favorite), and the 'Richmond' and 'Gordan' trophy races along with a pre-war Grand Prix race for the 'Goodwood Trophy' (another huge fan favorite) and the 70's Can-Am vs. GT40 battle for the 'Whitsun Trophy'.
The Festival of Speed event contributes new supercar and road car unvielings, and the 'Timed Shootout' hill climb is taking place for the first time on the historic Goodwood track. The Members' Meeting events will include the 'Gerry Marshall Trophy' for 70's touring cars, the 'Goodwood Rally Sprint' and the 'S.F. Edge Trophy' for pre-war Edwardian specials.
