Goodwood Festival of Speed 2019.... back from the festival and wow what an amazing time.
Started going in 94 so seen quite a few changes along the way but the basic tasty ingredients stay the same, incredible supercars, beautiful classic and modern F1 and noise... lots and lots of noise..!!
For me being hooked on Ferrari from an early age to see all the red metal in one place truly memorable.
I especially liked the Michael Schumacher tribute, all of the cars arranged in chronological order then to see and hear them flying up the hill was fantastic.
Current F1, go stand and listen as V10’s and V12’s, a moving experience and one sadly now confined to the history books.
Watching the spectators faces as these classic Ferrari, McLaren and Renaults go screaming by you realise that is what the fans want. Bring back the noise Liberty..
New for this year was the arena, what a brilliant idea..!!
We stood and watched these skilful drivers power sliding their drift cars, coupled with the loud music and burning rubber a real pleaser.
We will never forget watching the Huracan drifting , awesome.
We also got to meet a handful of drivers and riders, all very happy to sign and have photos taken, Rubens Barrichello especially.
The only negative were the number of smokers in the paddock, curiously oblivious to the danger of smoking near all the fuelled cars even after the numerous announcements..!!
All in all a brilliant couple of days blessed with great weather, thanks Lord March for putting on the ultimate petrolhead party, looking forward to next years already..!!!!
