Goodwood Revival in 24 mesmerizing photographs

3y ago

Photographer Jake Eastham sees classic cars the way they are intended to be seen: together with their passionate owners. What's special: there's no posing in his photos, he manages to capture the raw and intimate essence of life with vintage cars. Simple, honest, and with an eye for details. His previous career in farming, tree care and conservation shines through in his colouring and composition, with lots of green and brown tones and a shallow depth of field - giving his pictures a wonderful layering. Jake prefers his automobiles in their natural habitat and oozing with patina. Follow his work on Instagram @jakeautomotive. All photo credits: Jake Eastham.

  • These are beautiful, it really is like a glimpse back in time.

I particularly like the photos with the toolkit on the inside of the door and the dashboard where you can see the photographer in the rear view mirror. Gorgeous

    • You're right. To be honest, I've never actually met Jake face-to-face. He might be doing all this from a parallel universe where it's still 1955...

    • This evidence would not lead me to dispute that!
