Gordon Murray's T.50 engine mule revs to 12,100 rpm
There are many things to expect from Gordon Murray's V12 T.50, but, currently undergoing its testing the mule for the mighty V12 is a three cylinder. Yes you read that correctly, three cylinder a quarter the size of the V12.

In a recent video from Gordon Murray Automotive shows the engine named Cosworth GMM.IC3. Being engineered at Cosworth they show the test reading sceens showing 12,159 rpm. That is nearing Formula 1 territory - from a three cyclinder engine, thats bonkers.
They have also given the specs of the engine that will go in the finished car - a normally aspirated 3.9 litre V12 with gives an engine output of 650 hp and revs at 12,100 RPM - fantastic. This means the T.50 will be the highest revving, extremely light - weighing in at 980kgs and fastest responding naturally aspirated V12 on the planet.
For complete enjoyment - turn the volume up while watching the video....the sound is better than rock 'n' roll, r&b, heavy metal, house, pop and the fat lady singing at the opera.
