Got to poke around the new 911 RSR today. It looks stunning but I'm conflicted... can a mid-engined car really be a 911? And if you had a GT3/RS or a GT2 RS on order wouldn't you suddenly feel like your 'Motorsport' 911 wasn't very motorsport at all?

  • like a suped up Cayman GT4 rather than a 911 - it looks fantastic though - Something about yellow headlights and grey/white paint always works!

  • This blurs the line between Cayman and 911. The challenge about a 911 race cars was the engine placement . This has not stopped them from winning in the past. Why give in now?

  • To me, it's not a true 911 if the engine isn't in the rear. A great car, yes. But a true 911, no. It's kind of like the upcoming mid-engined Corvette; not truly deserving of the name. Just my two cents.
