Gran Turismo Sport Expanding Single Player Mode With New Races and Free Cars
Gran Turimso Sport came out a month ago, and while it provided an excellent online racing league with a true sense of being a part of something official, many were disappointed with its car selection and lack of single player modes. It's interesting because not once did Polyphony Digital suggest that Sport would be anything other than an online only racing game.
Regardless, PD has listened to the fans' complaints and have announced a slew of new free content to drop Thanksgiving weekend, in December, and in March.
The first update comes your way on November 27th and is a fairly small one. This update includes three free cars: The Shelby Cobra 427, Audi R18 LMP, and Zagato IsoRivolta Vision Gran Turismo. You also get a few more Scapes to play around with.
The big one comes in December. This update will add the GT League, a new single player component which features races and challenges against AI opponents. Each collection will feature a series of races with different requirements. Basically, it's the single player mode from past Gran Turismo that people felt was sorely missing from Sport.
Along with GT League, you will also get 12 free cars:
Chevrolet Corvette Stingray Convertible C3
Chris Holstrom Concepts 1967 Chevrolet Nova
Ford F-150 SVT Raptor
KTM X-Bow R
Lamborghini Countach LP400
Mazda RX-7 Spirit R Type A FD3S
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II R32
Nissan Skyline GT-R V-Spec II R34
Suzuki Swift Sport
Volkswagen Samba Bus Type 2
If that wasn't enough, another 35 free cars will drop in March 2018.
