Great... Now I Want One!

The 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor is one of those rare cases testing and reviewing a vehicle, That changes your thoughts on that entire genre. For me and i think a lot of people trucks have always been a part of life but never anything inspiring, I have never really aspired to own one... until now! The Raptor has been with us now in the states for almost 10 years. Through two generations the SVT Raptor has only had two real significant changes. The first gen. Raptor shocked us all with it's aggressive looks and Baha capabilities, available for the '10 - '11 model years were two of ford's V8's. The woeful 5.4L 3V Triton V8 producing 310-hp/365lb-ft of torque and the more popular 6.2L Boss V8 developing a much healthier 411-hp/434lb-ft of torque.... whatever that is. mated to a strengthened 6-speed automatic transmission. In 2011 the 5.4L was dropped from Ford's line-up. With the SVT Raptor's success booming through to 2014 Ford's engineers decided to bring the rather outdated flagship F-Series into the modern era. After two years of hiding Ford unveiled their new "Dune Destroyer". With more aggressive styling more ground clearance and more... A LOT more tech and refinement. More of everything except to many loyal fans surprise... two less cylinders !? A V6?... In a huge earth eating, mountain conquering, apocalypse appropriate, ball buster. Bold move! But the two cylinders it lost was replaced with turbos and we all know turbos make everything better. And as a result the second generation Raptor was substantially more powerful with the new 3.5L Ecoboost twin-turbo V6 producing 450-hp/510lb-ft of torque mated to the new 10-speed automatic gearbox allowing this 2.75 ton monster to achieve 60-mph from standstill in just 5.1 seconds. This truly is a " Driver's Truck ", Fun in a straight line capable in the corners despite the significant amount of wheel travel and now fitted with an interior that doesn't feel like it came from Fisher Price. Amazing tech and beautiful screens and displays with enough "toys" and gadgets to keep a modern teenager happy for at least 3-6 minutes, It really has evolved into a very capable and refined place to spend your time! below is my review and first impressions, so please enjoy and hit the subscribe button, to help a fellow "gearhead" out, i have "laid all my chips on the table" in the pursuit of my dream to become a automotive journalist and content creator. So the support from the car community always means a lot! thanks to all my "gearhead" & "gearheadettes".
