Guy brings camera from 1968 to modern Indycar race and the results are brilliant
Old racing footage is so much fun to watch. It gives us all a glimpse, even if only brief, into the past and into a completely different era in motorsports. But because of the time period, you always see cars of the era, never anything modern. I know that's how it goes, but wouldn't it be cool to see new cars on old film?
Well that's exactly what happened. YouTube user Nick Shirrell has a Super 8 Video camera from 1968 that he recently brought to a modern day Indycar race at Road America in Elkart Lake, Wisconsin. He filmed the 2019 IndyCar Grand Prix at Road America on the camera. Check out the results. They're amazing.
The old school backing track with the sound of the modern cars just makes this a completely surreal experience. Headphones and full screen are highly suggested!
