Halloween watches are coming
And you can actually get a $50 credit to get one
Halloween is just around the corner, which means it is *that* time of the year: Halloween-themed stuff. Halloween-themed stuff everywhere. And of course Halloween-themed watches.
There are a few brands I’m gonna mention in the next couple of weeks - including my personal favourite, Konstantin Chaykin - and I’m starting with this: the Calavera Neón.
The original Calavera Neón was launched last year to celebrate El Día De Los Muertos (November 1) and now there‘s an upgraded version for this year‘s Halloween celebration.
The dial is painted with special colours designed to come alive under UV light and adorned with a multi-colour Mexican Skull. The PVD-coated stainless steel case in satin black measures 40 mm in diameter (lug-to-lug, 47.6 mm), with a piece of domed K1 scratch-resistant crystal.
The movement is a Seiko-sourced meca-quartz chronograph (the sub-dials are located in the skull’s eyes). A meca-quartz is basically a high-beat quartz watch, which means it has a sweeping seconds hand, rather than a ticking one.
The watch is manufactured by Undone, a Hong-Kong based brand, which specialises in customisable watches and this year, they’ve launched an Instagram filter to go with it.
They’ve also launched an initiative that allows you get a $50 credit to spend on anything on their website (except accessories). All you have to do is share an Instagram story using their filter (first filter to the right when you open your Instagram camera, dubbed ‘Neon Sugar Skulls by Undone’), and tagging a celebrity that would look good with this watch + 2 friends. Take a screenshot and share it with Undone (a personal DM will do the trick) to claim the credit.
