In the beginning of the year, BMW unveiled the latest version of its most luxurious model, the 7-Series.
The car turned out to be an amazingly comfortable car, perfect for bankers and their chauffeurs. However, the one downside to the poor man’s Rolls Royce was the styling – more specifically, the outrageously large kidney grille.
It seems this has become the Munich-based company’s newest design trait. In fact, it has used the Frankfurt Motor Show as an opportunity to unveil the concept for the next 4-Series, and it’s not much of a looker.
From the side and rear angles the car dubbed the Concept 4, which is supposedly 85 per cent of the production car, looks very much like the outgoing model. However, the kidney grille makes the front end look more like Bane from the Dark Knight films.
Personally, I would have to say that the enlarged grille fits the aggressive personality of the M4 so I don’t dislike it as much as the front end of the 7-Series. However, I can’t tell if I like the look of it or not. It adds aggression to an already enraged beast, but it removes some of the interesting styling from the lower section of the current M4’s face.
