We always knew that Tesla was on borrowed time as mainstream manufacturers watched and learned. Could this 'modular' Peugeot 208 be that breakaway vehicle that makes it simple for consumers to choose whether they want to stick with ICE or dare to be different with EV under the hood? The numbers certainly look encouraging, with a 50 kWh battery that is good for 211 miles and the ability to fast charge (where available) 80% in 30 minutes. The tipping point will be of course price. Let's see what they have to say at the Geneva Motorshow.

    • In simplistic terms (probably WAY more complicated). You have the same 208 shell, and then you choose whether you want an electric motor, conventional petrol engine, or diesel. Guessing a PHEV (plug-in hybrid) option would have been WAY...
