    • In the VP44 trucks the cleaning/ lubrication is more for the injection pump than anything else, it's an awful design that will overheat itself and kill the electronics then seize the rotor if it doesn't get enough fuel or lubrication.

  • I have a VP44 Cummins, if you DONT clean the fuel system then you get to pay $1200 plus core charge for a new injection pump. Although I swap injectors too much to get them enough mileage to need a clean (always chasing more HP with less smoke)

  • Considering I own a diesel and a set of new injectors is BLOODY EXPENSIVE... A few quid keeping them clean now is a few hundred quid saved replacing them later.
