  • I use the Meguiar's DA polisher and I find it really good and easy to use

  • Tbf hand waxing should still be the final process, you should never have the machine leave the final finish.

All those times you've seen a car in the sun with swirl marks that aren't scratches, yeah.... It's polish that isn't worked in, you have to wax by hand at the end.

  • I have a professional spec machine, it weighs a ton and spins like a mad man! I was trained how to use it though, if you don't know how to use a proper one you'll just burn through the paint on every raised edge and probably allow it to fling out of your hands and at the very least put a huge scratch somewhere if not a sizeable dent!

I've never used an Argos special though 🤷‍♂️

    • You aren't describing a "Dual Action Polisher" Almost impossible to cut into the paint with one and they do a wonderful job FINISH WAXING. No need for cramping hands and cheesecloth. You are entitled to your strong opinions.

    • I'm a sprayer by trade fella, I know what a professional polisher looks like, I also know how to do a professional job 👍

  • Haven't used one on a car but used one on my boat. Works really well. I use a Simoniz buffer/polisher.

    • I don’t have a need for one. I got a truck that I use as a utility vehicle. It’s not a pavement princess or a sports car. It doesn’t need babying.
