Hellcat Durango by Hennessy will have 1000+ horsepower because of course it will

As if the regular Hellcat-powered Durango wasn't powerful enough...

Hennessy has never been one to be shy on horsepower, and the Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat tuned by Hennessy is certainly no exception.

You can give your Hellcat Durango Hennessy's HPE1000 Supercharged Upgrade, which will give the Hellcat Durango 1,012 horsepower and 969 torque, up 302 horsepower and 324 torque of the stock Hellcat.

These are some rather crazy figures, but things get even crazier when you look at the 0-60 time, which is done in 2.8 seconds. Perhaps even better, the quarter mile is done in 10.8 seconds at 126 miles per hour.

Some of the improvements Hennessy did was give Durango an upgraded supercharger system, high-flow catalytic Converters, high-flow fuel injectors, among many other performance upgrades. There's also plenty of Hennessy badges peppered through the car.

Only 50 units will be built, and to commemorate that, there will be serial-numbered plaques. And as you might know, Hennessy also did a similar tune-job for the Jeep Trackhawk, so I'll be waiting for the inevitable drag race between the two.

  • Not sure why we need so much power but at least it's not going to the EV direction!

  • You can always count on Hennessey to make the performance cars that automakers are too scared to produce for themselves. The sad part is that if an automaker created a limited run of say 20 or 30 1000 horsepower models of theoretically any model. People would buy them. 1000hp Telluride? I'd buy it. 1000hp Flex? I'd buy it. 1000hp Dacia Sandero? Ben Welham would buy it.

    • "You can always count on Hennessey" isn't something many Hennessey customers would say.

    • Yeah he kind of has a reputation as a crook. I think about that every time I see one of these articles. But crooks are doing well these days.
