Hellcat: The Budget Supercar

Has the Hellcat become the "supercar" to get under 100k?

The Hellcat is a car that has become the most popular and well known model from the lunatics over at Dodge. This model is available in the both the Challenger and Charger cars offered by Dodge The Challenger Hellcat offers a 6.2 liter HEMI V8 that is supercharged to give the Hellcat a eye-watering 707 horsepower and 650 lb-ft of torque that is able to propel the 4,469 lb land-yacht from 0-60mph in 3.6secs and a supercar top speed of 199 but there have been evidence of some Challengers of reaching 202mph.

However, this is not what I'm here to talk about. I'm here to tell you all that the best supercar one can buy for under 100k is the Dodge Challenger Hellcat. Many of you may be asking why, let me tell you. One, this car is relatively new coming out with their first model in 2015 thus you can still have the original warranty on the car from Dodge and also get a certified pre-owned warranty of 7 years/100,000 mile from Dodge as well. Thus, it means you will won't have to deal out big bucks on your servicing. The second reason is that you are getting 707 horsepower that you aren't going to be able to get from any other supercar for sale under 100k. In matter of fact, a used Dodge Challenger Hellcat are for sale from under 50k making them the bargain of the century. Of course, the Hellcat might not have the rich history in racing or design such as Ferrari or Lamborghini but you get the rich history of muscle cars that the Hellcats comes from and power that will make you so scared that you'll love it. If you still don't believe me, then take the word of Carlos Lago from Motortrend in his incredible review of this car.

  • It is a bargain, and that's the scary part lol. I've driven the hellcat on three different track and each time I thought, "Oh god... any idiot who passes a credit check can just have one... and use it... on public roads!"

    • I think that’s also what’s appealing about it. Anyone can get one, you don’t need to be on a waitlist or order the most options in order to have one

    • I just see the negative effects of it since most drivers can't handle 200hp let alone 700hp lol
