Hennessey has created a V8 Velociraptor

A V6 Ecoboost blah give me a V8

Hennessey has created a Ford F-150 Velociraptor with a V8 engine. Though it isn't the first time they have modified the Ford Velociraptor.

The original one could only reach 0 to 60 in 5.3 seconds with a V6 Ecoboost engine. But thanks to Hennessey, it now has a few juicy upgrades.

This time instead of a V6 Ecoboost they have swapped it for a supercharged 6.2 litre V8 that can produce a total of 758hp, which is a total of 308 horses extra packed inside.

While 0 to 60 now just takes 4.1 seconds, the company also claims it can do a quarter of a mile in 12.2 seconds, with it reaching 115mph.

“We are so excited to introduce our VelociRaptor V8 – the first and only V8-powered Gen 2 Ford Raptor,” said company founder and CEO, John Hennessey.

“Our customers have been begging for a V8 option for their new Raptors since the truck first came out in early 2017. We heard their calls and are so pleased to meet this need in the market. The sound of the VelociRaptor V8 is so worth it!”

There will only be 100 units made and each costing a jaw dropping $47,950. If you want to see it sometime soon you will have your chance when it makes its debut at the 2018 SEMA show.
