Hennessey offers it's version of the C8 Corvette with 1200 HP
The folks at Hennessey Performance are in the works of offering the C8 Corvette with 1200 hp. Being mid engined this should improve performance dramatically.
The engine in question will be a specially designed twin-turbo system that will be attached to a specially built LT2 V8. The specially built part includes new forget internals - aluminium pistons and steel connecting rods. To compliment this system this Corvette will get an upgraded and strengthened dual clutch transmission.
It is just not the engine and transmission that gets a boost. The aero on the car does upgrades as well. Hennessey will give it signature carbon fibre body parts - front splitter and big carbon fibre wing, all this comes under their CarbonAero upgrades. I do love the roof scoop air intake for the engine it does add a bit of uniqueness to the car, to be honest - it does look good.
For 1200 hp stopping power is essential - on offer is a full Brembo brake system with adjustable Penske suspension and also wheel and tyre upgrades. Hennessey will also offer a stainless-steel exhaust system primarily for improved sound but this also provides a bit more power.
In the future there they plan to offer a Supercharger system upgrade for up to 700 hp and will start to do that only when computer tuning turns available. But, since you have got twin-turbos you don't need to worry about that.
Hennessey does specialise in the added power department, but, this has to be one wild version of 'America's sports car'. However, you might ask what are the performance figures on this car. Hennessey is currently registering interest for this car and is not in production yet.
