Here are the race results for the US GP.
Bottas did a stunning job to take the win in Austin this weekend after breaking the track record in qualifying yesterday. He had a very tasty little battle with his teammate in the last few laps to hold on to the win which sounded very exciting as I listened to it via the BBCF1 team on 5 live.
Verstappen crossed the line in 3rd to take the final step on the podium with a flawless race after a tumultuous time of it in Mexico last weekend. The Ferrari’s had another awful weekend with Vettel getting a bad start off the line getting passed by Hamilton, Leclerc, Norris and Ricciardo before retiring after his rear suspension failed on him on lap 8. Leclerc was barely spoken about during the race as he just pootled along to finish 4th but he did managed to get the fastest lap which is a bonus for him.
Driver of the day via F1.com went to Alex Albon for a stunning performance that scored him a 5th place for the Red Bull team which should hopefully help him secure the seat at the team for next year as that seat is still to be announced.
Well, that’s it from the US GP and I’ll be back for all the action for the penultimate race in Brazil in a fortnights time, until then have a wonderful time all!
