Here are the safest cars tested by the Euro NCAP in 2019
The Euro NCAP has tested no less than 55 new cars in 2019. Of these 55 cars, 41 achieved the maximum score of five stars. However, it is still possible to see which are the best in this group. This is what we are going to do, category by category to see which are the real stars!
We're starting in the supermini category. The best are the Renault Clio and the Audi A1. The Ford Puma comes just behind them as a city SUV. In the small family car segment, the Mercedes CLA shined, followed by the Mazda 3. In the large family car segment, the Tesla Model 3 and the BMW 3 Series were the top scorers.
Both models achieved identical final results. And while the German did better than the American on pedestrian protection, the Tesla made up for it on driving assistance, which is even more sophisticated than on the BMW. Behind these high-end cars is a mainstream large family car, the Skoda Octavia.
In the large off-road category, it is the Tesla Model X that stands out from the rest. It is followed by the Seat Tarraco, which is the Spanish cousin of the Volkswagen Tiguan Allspace and Skoda Kodiaq. The Subaru Forester is the winner in the small off-road/MPV segment. It is followed by the Mazda CX-30 and the Volkswagen T-Cross for second place. Finally, the Tesla Model 3 once again won in the hybrid and electric category. It is followed by the Model X.
