Here is the first picture of the restyled Volkswagen Tiguan!
Despite a design that ages rather well, the second-generation Volkswagen Tiguan is now over three years old. The model is therefore in mid-life and a restyling should take place shortly. It's just the right time since the Wolfsburg-based brand is shooting promotional clips for the restyled Tiguan, which is already ready.
The vehicle was thus spotted in a street as shown in the headline image shared by the Instagram account of the Spanish publication CocheSpias. The quality of the picture is obviously not excellent, but it still allows us to distinguish the main changes that will take place on the Tiguan.
The front end looks completely revised with a new grille. The air intakes at the bottom are much larger than on the current model and are inspired by the air intakes of the Tiguan GTE concept presented at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show. The other change concerns the headlights, which are more sculpted in the lower part. They are clearly inspired by the headlights of the Golf.
It's obvious that the restyled Tiguan shown here is a top-of-the-line version. It would most likely be an R-Line trim because of the large air intakes mentioned above, but also because of the imposing black rims. The front fenders also seem to have the R-Line logo. The rear end should be slightly revised, with new lights and a "Tiguan" inscription in the middle. The restyled Tiguan will surely make its debut at the Geneva Motor Show in March.
