Here is the post-Apocalyptic multipurpose hypercar from Ramsmobile
A 999 hp armoured beast that floats on water, has a tank track in the middle and comes with an electronic hookah...
Ever heard of them? Neither had I until I came across the Protos RM-X2, nicknamed the “Multipurpose Hypercar”. And it's the flashest tough car I have seen to date.
I did a bit of research on Ramsmobile - it is a company that also builds Performance Hummers and Humvees and their Twitter claims - “Manufacturer of the most expensive and luxurious off-road vehicles in the world”.
Back to its ‘multipurpose hypercar’ status; It resembles a Humvee, yet it only weighs 1.8 tonnes. This is due to the entire body being made out of carbon composites, kevlar and titanium. This is quite light considering the car is armoured. Yes, it can stop a bullet, a 7.62 bullet, don’t know much about armour or bullets, but this is a B6/B7 armour classification. B7 is client requested only.
It has three different engine options you can choose from - the 6.2 litre LT5 from GM (exclusively used in the C7 Corvette ZR1) supercharged to produce 999 HP. The second option is a 6.6 litre V8 Duramax diesel with an Allison transmission that comes from GM heavy duty trucks. The final option is surprising - EV motor and batteries; anyone want a silent armoured car? I'm sure there's a few. Top speed of this car is limited to 100 mph and 0-60 is 3.3 seconds, that’s faster to 0-60 than a Bentley Bentayga.
Now, there are certain versions of the Protos. It starts with Asthetic which, using Ramsmobile’s words, is an ‘Exclusive edition in which performance and style are dedicated to the most extreme type of human nature”. This version is equipped with the 6.2 litre LT5 engine and is the lightest of the versions.
The next version is Devil, actually 'Devil's Touch' edition, this means - and again Ramsmobile’s words - ‘Luxury and darkness! Technology and Mysticism’. This adds a gold trim to the wheels and a continuous track in the middle of the car, like they have on tanks or snowmobiles for getting you out of a more sticky situation. This track is 15 inches wide with an option of 24 inches - that’s 2 feet wide. Along with this you get the optional seating of 6, which removes the central tunnel in the interior.
'The God' edition is hush-hush right now and we will only hear about it next year. This version is all about getting places with precision. It features the most powerful specs of all the versions - engine, armour and the lot.
What else do you get? Lots of tech in the interior, i.e. dual displays all draped in exotic materials. Oh! yes, you can opt for a smoker's package, unlike other cars that give you ashtrays and cigar lighters this one comes with a electronic hookah, in which you can control the smoke levels, temperature and also save smoking parameters.
Another big feature revealed by the company representative - it floats and the company is working on converting the exhaust into a jet system. The underside is also Teflon-coated so it's easy to clean.
Right, so what does all this cost? A million bucks for the base model and 3 million for the coming 'The God' edition of the Protos. The only reason I can see a person wanting this is because it has cool doors.
