Here is what I like and dislike about the Mustang Mach-E

A car that makes sense to release, but should never been released in the first place

When Ford unveiled the Mustang Mach-E to the public and it turned out to be a crossover electric SUV, some enthusiasts were not pleased. Actually. a lot of enthusiasts were not happy and I wasn't with them nor against them. I was in the middle. Here is a list of what I approve and disapprove about the very controversial car.

It should come to no one's surprise about electric vehicle's blistering 0-60 time, at least the performance electric vehicle and we can add the Mustang Mach-E to that list. The Mustang Mach-E has a 0-60 time of 3.5 seconds for the top of the line "GT" spec and just for reference the Tesla Model X has a 0-60 time of 2.7 seconds and the Model X has falcon doors for the passengers which makes the Model X 100 times cooler. Plus, if the rumor is true, Shelby might make a souped up version of the Mustang Mach-E, which will make a very, very fast SUV.

Secondly, the range is quite impressive for a company that is making its very first electric car. The base trim of the Mustang Mach-E has a range of 300 miles, while the GT spec has a range of 235 miles, so a quite massive drop in terms of range and to compare with the Model X again, the Tesla Model X has a range of 265 miles and did I mention the Model X has falcon doors.

Thirdly, the price for the vehicle is quite affordable for electric car standards. The GT spec starts at roughly around $60,000 and to compare with other electric SUVs, the Audi E-tron SUV's base price starts at around $70,000 and the Model X's base price starts at around $80,000, which makes the Mustang Mach-E quite a bargain as compare to others in its class.

In the words of James Pumphrey "Literally Everything Else"

Firstly and the most popular negative, which earned the car's negative reputation is the name. Yes, I do understand why Ford has to go with the "Mustang" name for its car, When you think of electric car, you think of Tesla and when you think of Ford, you think of Mustang. Why didn't they go with "F-150"? Probably because they want to release the Mustang Mach-E globally. Anyways, back to the name, Ford could've make an electric version of the Mustang (a two door pony car), but instead they make an electric version of a SUV and just slap the Mustang badge on it. This reason alone is enough to anger a lot of people.

Secondly, the Mustang Mach-E doesn't really look like a mustang. I mean I understand it is a SUV and not a pony car, but personally I can't really see anything that screams "MUSTANG' apart from the taillights.

Thirdly, the car doesn't really have anything that is special, the Model X has falcon doors and that is all I can think about the Model X that is special as of typing this article. Personally, the car doesn't have anything unique compare to other cars in its class. Insane 0-60 times, a wide range and comfort are all characteristics that I already know and apologies to electric fans, I find kind of boring already.

This might surprise a few of you, but I hope I am wrong about the Mustang Mach-E and the vehicle turns out to be great, but until then, the car has already earned an infamous reputation and only the future will tell whether the Mustang Mach-E will be great or should be forgotten.
