Genesis has just officially unveiled the highly anticipated GV80, its first SUV. The Korean brand highlights the construction qualities of its new vehicle. Indeed, the SUV uses a high-strength hot-stamped steel structure, along with lightweight aluminum for the doors, hood and tailgate. Despite its advanced technology, it is the original design of the GV80 that will make it stand out.
As you can see, the Korean luxury SUV has a style never seen before. For example, the front end features thinly split headlights. They surround a huge radiator grille with diamond mesh. On the side, the 22-inch wheels give it presence. At the rear, you'll find the same lamp structure as at the front.
It's also when you open the door that you realize that the GV80 has been very well thought-out. The interior is made of high-quality materials, with perforated leather and the abundance of soft touch plastics. The dashboard, which is obviously digital, is paired with a 14.5-inch XXL infotainment screen. The GV80 also has a sense of welcome with its seven seats.
As for technology, the GV80 strikes hard. An augmented reality navigation system is now available. The driver can enter his or her destination on a touch pad. Silence will be king in the GV80 with the generation of sound waves to counter outside noise. Under the hood, only one engine is currently available. It's a 280 bhp 3.0 L diesel. Other engines will join the range. The Genesis GV80 will be available to order by the end of the year.
