Here's how to fully tear down a Volvo red block engine
Pretty much your go-to guide
So I'm building a 240. Well, I'm not, our new friend Nick Haas at Red Block Performance in Portland, Oregon is. And it's going to be an absolute cracker of a car. Today he sent over some videos that I cobbled together to give you a full scale view on how to tear down and strip a Volvo red block engine.
As you can see it's a pretty intensive, yet straightforward process. There are a lot of parts, but no where near the same amount as today's cars. Those might have endless wires and wiring harnesses to deal with all the modern systems. This is just a straight up iron block with some good bits on it.
So check it out and if you're doing a build like this, here's your guide on how to strip that engine.
